Research

My research focuses on developing optimization models and algorithms with various applications in compressive sensing, signal/image processing, statistical learning, computer vision, machine learning, operations research, etc. Particularly, I am interested in the following:

  • Sparse optimization, low-rank matrix completion/recovery;
  • Theory and applications of the alternating direction method of multipliers;
  • Robust principal component analysis (robust PCA);
  • Parallel and distributed optimization.
